ET Mueller

Eric works in commodities and is energized by big opportunities: building out new offices and businesses, and helping organizations rethink mission, operating model, and technology.

About

Over a career spanning five continents, his interests have expanded across philosophy, social science, business, accounting, risk, and data science.

ET writes about work and life in essays, poetry, songs, and fiction. Much of that writing grows from the tension between systems and people: how institutions shape behavior, how incentives distort judgment, and how individuals try to preserve meaning inside increasingly technical worlds.

Knew Downs

Knew Downs follows Jane, a young engineer working remotely on the construction of data centers. Her career moves unevenly. She carries debt, works under pressure, struggles to build relationships, and gradually realizes she does not yet understand herself as well as she thought.

As she learns the ways of the world, her moral compass begins to spin. She must decide what rules she lives by, what kind of life she is building, and toward what end.
